  Profile
Bangalore has now a new institution, named Bangalore International Centre (BIC) to act as a knowledge hub and a multi-activity centre, with culture as a major focus. Modelled on the lines of India International Centre and India Habitat Centre, both located in New Delhi, BIC has several luminaries in the Governing Council.

The BIC was inaugurated by Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, His Excellency the President of India on 21st November 2005, at the Domlur premises of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), which is its first home.

BIC is also in the process of acquiring suitable land in or around Bangalore for developing its own infrastructure in a large scale for the benefit of the Members.

In the meanwhile, the Centre continues to organize and arrange events which are intellectually stimulating and culturally vibrant from the eco-friendly TERI complex.

His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka is the Patron of the Centre
