Bangalore International Centre had organized a Talk by Major General Shubhi Sood on “Military Leadership : The Legacy of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw” on 15th November, 2008 at 6.30 PM at its Auditorium.

In a wide-ranging talk, peppered with several personal anecdotes about Field Marshal Manekshaw, General Sood outlined the outstanding qualities of leadership displayed by the Field Marshal in his illustrious career and how he represented the best traditions in the Indian Army. Field Marshal Manekshaw had an excellent rapport with the rank and file of the army. He had equally good personal equation with Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister. However, he did not have any political ambition and remained an army man all along.

It was a fascinating talk, thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by all those who attended the programme. Those who did not, missed a treat.
