Launch of Book "Dialogues of Civilization - William Jones and the Orientalists" written by Mohanddas Moses and his wife Mrs. Achala Moulik on 24th January, 2009. Mr. Nandan Nilekani, Co-Chairman, Infosys Technologies Ltd., will release the book.

had organized the Launch of a Book “Dialogue of
Civilizatins” co-authored by Mohandas Moses and
his wife Mrs. Achala Moulik on Saturday, the 24th Jan.
2009 at 6.30 PM. This fascinating book traces the cultural
interaction between India and the West following the establishment
of Asiatic Society at Calcutta by Warren Hastings in 1784
and the role played by Sir William Jones in pioneering
there the systematic study of Sanskrit, Indian Languages,
Indian History and Philosophy, Archaeology, Numismatics,
Epigraphy and comparative philology.
Shri Nandan Nilekani, Co-chairman, Infosys Technologies
Limited released the book.
