Screening of South
African film " Cry, The Beloved Country" on 9th
May, 2009 |

Bangalore International Centre
had arranged screening of a South African film “Cry,
the Beloved Country” offered by FFSI on 9th May,
2009 at 6 pm. The screening was well attended by the members.
The sensitive film, based on Alon Paton’s acclaimed
novel of the same name, beautifully brought out the nuances
of the black and white divide in the backdrop of South
Africa in the year 1946 through the poignant journey of
a Zulu Christian Pastor to find his long-last son, sister
and brother. The packed audience enjoyed the film thoroughly. |
